Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of child eyewitness memories and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also has been awarded several international and national awards. She consults with numerous governments and agencies across the world regarding policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations, which include the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
